Artist's Comments

This is for :iconmystik-rider:
Whitetail Buck moving into thicket. More often than not this is what I end up with when trying to photograph Whitetails. I must use the wind to my advantage, move like a Native American and keep my fingers crossed that I don't draw attention. Sometimes I get close enough, but most times I get the rump.

love the light on him! We have a buck that has begun hanging around with his 'herem', I've only seen him once during the day resting a few acres away under a tree - but he's been rubbing his antlers at night on our new deck - now that is a freaky noise

Actually it is a great picture of the back of the head, which is something I have never said before.

And I also have the same experiences, usually with Elk (Red-deer).
